Backing up custom snippets

Post by karenvw »

Hello!

I have just been trying the demo version of Rapid PHP which looks great! However, I did do a few custom snippets and then a bit later the program crashed and I lost the snippets. If I'm to use this program as my editor I intend to add quite a lot of snippets and would worry about losing them on a crash.

Is there a way of backing these up. There is a folder in program files called snippets but it doesn't seem to add any files if a I create any custom ones and I can't find a command to create a backup.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks very much :D

Hi Karen - welcome to the forum.

you can find the snippets file here:
C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Blumentals\WeBuilder\settings\library.xml

backing that up will save the day should something go wrong. Actually, just backing up my entire app data folder semi regularly is the route I go. Usually a small folder.

I just realized you're using RapidPHP. The path should be the same but you'll need to replace 'webuilder' with RapidPHP or something. sorry, I don't have it installed so I'm not exactly sure of the wording.
