I have been on a search recently to find a decent html/php/javascript/css editor that doesn't suck horribly. webuilder is the closest I have found with all of the features I need.
Only problem? The file explorer seems to refresh every 6 seconds and once it has been open for a while starts to freeze up. No idea what is causing it and as best I can tell it isn't a setting of any kind.
Is it possible to turn the refresh off? If the files in the tree structure change I can refresh it myself.
version: webuilder 2007 8.2.0.79
file explorer is set in "tree mode," haven't tested other modes because I don't want to use them.
If anyone has any idea or could help me get this issue resolved I would appreciate it a great deal. I'm tired of searching google for text editors and finding horribly outdated interfaces void of features that go above and beyond what wordpad offers. Thanks!

"Code explorer" and "File explorer" are really different things.
The code explorer should not refresh automatically if you do not change your code, otherwise it does happen, of course. We shall consider the option to refresh it manually.
The problem about the file explorer and items being put at the end of the list. This should be fixed with next major version.
