Special Characters -Insert Code/Entity & hover preview

I prefer to insert a special character's code instead of its entity name. A possible solution/enhancement would be to change the Special Characters dialog to have 2 Insert buttons:
"Insert Code" and "Insert Entity".

Then to help use the special character codes, it would be great if there was a hover-preview - which displays the special character in the hover-text-popup whenever the mouse is hovered over the inserted code. Then we wouldn't have to continuously open the Special Characters dialog table or use flip back/forth to the preview.

You can edit the entities.ini file to tune what is inserted for what character code. Since this is very rare and 99% of developers do prefer to use named entities, we would not like to implement a separate command. What you need is achievable by editing the entities.ini file.
