smart quotes
When I copy and paste from Word into WeBuilder (something which I have to do quite a lot in my web editor job), any smart quotes get transferred across too. Since this is probably not good practice, I was wondering if it was a good idea for them to automatically be replaced with straight quotes? (I don't want to have to do a search'n'replace every time!)

I'm sure this has come up before, and as a workaround, I'm sure I created a quick VB prog to do the search 'n replace. It worked via the clipboard, so would 'monitor' the clipboard and change it for you.
My website has gone some changes of late, so probably won't be up there. I'll try and see if I've still got it floating around.
Auto-replace won't work with pasted text - only 'as you type'.
If you don't hear anything from me within a couple of days, email me to nudge me!

The PureText clipboard scrubber might help with this problem: http://www.stevemiller.net/puretext/

OK, so heres my Clipboard Auto Copy.
Think of this as beta 1!
It needs a couple more features - hide in system tray, more error checking, etc, but the core guts are there.
Should be self explanatory. Create a new ruleset and tell it to replace quotes from Word with the normal quote.
When text is copied to the clipboard, it will run those rules, then change the text in the clipboard.
(Well, thats the plan...)
Report any bugs/problems to my own support forum, rather than waste Karlis' space.
