Whats new in 4.8?

I see that SSF 4.8 has been released. What's new with it?

Does this include all the feature requests we've been hoping for?

If not, any idea when that'll be ready?

4.8 fixes some rare problems on rare systems (e.g. F1 key not opening URL on some computers). No new features planned for 4.x

Version 5.0 is currently under development. Lot's of interesting things and improvements to come. E.g. RSS support, new transition effects, support for digital signatures and much more.
