Hi,
Just noticed a problem with the File Explorer in version 9.5.1.105.
Basically it doesn't remember what drive or folder it is on between sessions, and for some reason will always return to the same folder on one of my network drives every time I start WeBuilder.
1: I start WeBuilder and File Explorer is at P:\dev\testfolder (for example)
2: I Navigate using the File Explorer to C:\mystuff\things and open a file from there.
3: Close WeBuilder, it makes no difference if any files are open or not.
4: Re-open WeBuilder and File Explorer is back at P:\dev\testfolder
I know older versions did remember the current folder, but I can't say if THE PREVIOUS version had the same problem.
Cheers,
Mike

Re: File Explorer doesn't remember current folder
Yes, I noticed, there is such thing. It was added when adding feature that allows to remember path for *each* project. I think there is a simple fix but you will probably have to hang on for a while.
Re: File Explorer doesn't remember current folder
While we are awaiting a fix for this (very annoying) problem, is there a way to change the "default" location of the File Explorer to something more convenient? As luck would have it, mine is stuck at a location that takes a long time to navigate to my commonly-edited files!

Re: File Explorer doesn't remember current folder
I've found it in the registry, navigate to:ddyment wrote:is there a way to change the "default" location of the File Explorer to something more convenient?
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Karlis Blumentals\WeBuilder\7.0\General
then change the FilexDirectory key to where you want the file explorer to start.
Changed mine so it starts in a more useful location!
Cheers,
Mike
Re: File Explorer doesn't remember current folder
Thanks very much for tracking this down, Mike; it has already made my day better!
In fact, I actually prefer this approach to the traditional behaviour. I would rather be able to specify the File Explorer default location, rather than have it return to the last used position. Perhaps something to consider for future revisions (much like specifying the default root).

Re: File Explorer doesn't remember current folder
Simply switch to any project and back to Folders and it will save the location. I plan to post the update soon.
