Does anybody work with CFM files?

Post by Karlis »

I'm just curious. Does anybody use HTMLPad or Rapid PHP to work with CFM files?

Hi,

I use Coldfusion all the time. I have added .cfm into the usable extensions within Rapid PHP 2005 so now .cfm files appear in the project view, and in the save and open dialogs, but I would really love to see code highlighting, code hints, and code completion for Coldfusion MX 7.

Is this something you will implement in upcoming versions?

Hi,

I figured I should go ahead and register with the forum since I have been posting lately. I got to thinking about the .cfm pages.... in the mean time, is it possible to create my own code coloring for .cfm pages? Like you already have for PHP/HTML pages? How would I do this?

I'm afraid you can nto create your own syntax coloring schemes. This is why I need to know whather there is a sufficient demand for this.

I would use it. We have a large comerical website that runs on coldfusion (Version 5). It would be helpful. I did the same thing as the above guys and so far it has not had a problem.

Apologies for joining this topic late, but I have recently bought WeBuilder and today have been asked to do some Coldfusion development so yes I would appreciate syntax highlighting etc. for CFM files. Is this already planned as a forthcoming feature? If so, when?

It is not yet planned. That is why I try to find out how popular it is!

Maybe a poll in the suggested features forum would be a good idea. Perhaps, make it a sticky topic for a few weeks so that it gets high visibility.

Trust me on this.....Put support for Coldfusion(code snippets and hinting) in.
We want it. I love CF. Only thing is its got to be support for CF7. How can I introduce CF to WEBuilder? Keep rockin'

I'm using it all the time at work right now. In a weird way, since it doesn't know what they are, it already highlights CF tags - in red. ;)

Add another vote for CF support.

In my job I use Coldfusion MX on a daily basis

I am new to HTML Pad 2005 and I am already finding it a perfect rivial to Dreamweaver (which has decided to crash every time I save a file, not good for development).

I would suggest adding support for developers to add their own syntax highlighting, not just adding highlighting for the specific code as it is requested by users.

Its a vote from me.

Another for CF Support

Post by simmerin »

I think there are many CF developers and those who work with CF templates (as designers) who would greatly appreciate syntax highlighting and additional tag support if possible. Webuilder 2007 has many features not offered in Dreamweaver and any CF support would make this program an invaluable supplement if not a viable replacement for Dreamweaver.
