RSS Feeds

Post by abentley »

I purchased your product primarily for the RSS support, but try as I might I cannot get a picture screensaver to display any RSS feed that I try. I saw some similar posts on the subject - has anyone managed to get an RSS feed to work? If so, can you share any working RSS URL's for testing purposes?

You mentioned in another feed that your software is 'picky' about feed syntax. Can you advise if a feed must 100% validate to be displayed, or are there specific XML elements that the software looks for before it will display a feed?

Thanks

Hi There!

Yes, exactly my problem! I have an RSS Feed and nothing happens. Please find a solution for this because my client is waiting for the screensaver ....

Thanks a lot!

Kind regards from Germany

Please note that RSS feeds are displayed only for picture screensavers (no video and no flash) AND that RSS is displayed only starting from the second image, so your screensaver must have at least two images.

If you believe that there is a problem with a particular feed, please contact our support and provide address of the feed. We haven't had any of these submitted lately, so please be so kind and send in your feed addresses.

Hello
I have had no issues with RSS feeds and Screensaver Factory 5 Pro.
The RSS feeds I have created have .xml file extentions.
I used an app called script writer - to create the feed it RSS 2.0

It works fine.

Cheers
