Open multiple files from Explorer

Post by Canyon Wolf »

I am using HTMLPad 2010 which I just purchased. Have used Homesite for years.

I often need to open a group of web pages to make changes to all - not something the search & replace would work well for. I noticed that I can not use the control and shift keys in File Explorer/Project panel to select and open them - they have to be opened one at a time which clearly slows things down.

Please add these common windows features to your file explorer.

I would love to be able to select multiple files. It's crazy to have to manually select 50+ files just to have them all open at the same time. Am I missing a preference?

Also, I wish I could get a progressively more accurate folder selection as I typed within the context of the explorer. So, when I type "e", the first folder which begins with "e" should be selected. If I type "f" next, the first folder beginning with "f" should NOT be selected - instead, the first folder which begins with "ef" should be selected. This is the convention with most explorers I use.

I think I recall a thread elsewhere in this forum which revealed that the explorer itself is a third-party component and that it's on it's way out. Is that true?

Any comments on all three points are appreciated.
