Rapid PHP 2010 bug: Modal Help window stuck in background

Post by russellweed »

Found another bug when you go to Options -> Edit Library, and edit a Snippet. In the Snippet Editor (which is a modal window) there is link at the bottom that opens up the Help topic for replacement tokens.

However, when you click this link the help window opens in the background, but as a modal window, so I can't bring it to the foreground either. The only way to get rid of it is to exit Rapid PHP, or use the close button in the aero thumbnail on the taskbar.

If you just click Help -> Help Topics everything works fine, though you can't Alt+Tab to the help window for some reason.

My guess is it's probably a problem w/ the new Win7 taskbar + the Edit Snippet window being modal.

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Could not reproduce. Maybe it is because you are using 64-bit system? Various tiny Windows API bugs come out with 64-bit systems lately. Microsoft says all should be fine, but it is not true. 32-bit programs sometimes behave differently on 64-bit systems. There will be some time till 64-bit systems are equally well supported with 32-bit systems.

Hmm... I can't reproduce it now either. Must've been a fluke.

Oh well, thanks for looking into it. :)
