Info: 2010 v10.2 is in development
Just wanted to let you know that we have not stopped working on updates or anything like that. We are currently working on the biggest free mid-version update ever, thus it is taking so long. Most likely there will even be a beta. And remember - this update will be free, it is not the next major release we are working on (yet).
So what is it that is taking so long?
* Search algorithms are being rewritten from scratch to make file search much faster and it is taking a lot of time
* Various bugs are being fixed
* We are working on updated language specifications
* Some other features too

I'm looking forward to this update.
I've changed my OS to 64-bit Windows 7 - Will there be a 64-bit version?

Actually you can use WeBuilder already on 64-bit Windows 7. We have received some reports about minor incompatibilities on some computers, but this does not affect the general workflow.I've changed my OS to 64-bit Windows 7 - Will there be a 64-bit version?

Good news! I sure hope you are working on fixing the annoying behavior (e.g. bug) of WeBuilder not saving files into the current project folder by default. It is a major nuisance that WeBuilder always defaults to saving a new file into the WeBuilder installation folder - that makes absolutely no sense.
Same issue with FTP; when you r-click on a tab and select "save to FTP" you have to manually connect to the correct FTP session and then navigate to the correct folder. WeBuilder should provide the option of automating this action, at least connecting to the right FTP site to prevent accidentally uploading a file to the wrong site (could be a bad thing if it's an index file). Rarely would you save an existing file to a location different than where the file already exists.
Other than a few irritations, I've never looked back since moving to WB; it's an excellent product - thank you!

I have "Save and Upload to FTP" set as ctrl+shift+s keyboard shortcut. when the file is open i just save it and it uploads to the site without any problems. And with files in the "File Explorer" I just right click and "Upload to FTP" and it uploads correctly.applaudmedia wrote:Same issue with FTP; when you r-click on a tab and select "save to FTP" you have to manually connect to the correct FTP session and then navigate to the correct folder. O and i also put the "Save and Upload to FTP" icon on my toolbar so i can use that instead of the keyboard shortcut.
These all work great for me.
Karlis how much longer on the 10.2 release?

Hi Elygen :
Thanks for the tip - I never noticed that button! The save local then upload to FTP works perfect. The difference is that way you save the file locally and then upload, vs. editing directly on the server. Just seems there's a disconnect between the two approaches; not sure why the save to FTP "knows" where to save and the other (edit on the server) doesn't. Maybe they didn't intend for it to be used as I do. Thanks again!
