Question for RSS-Feed and XML AutoUpdate

We have a question about your Auto Update (via XML) and your RSS-Feed Plugin

We have a Concept for our Employees. We want to share a Screensaver on every PC/Laptop of our Employees especially for Employees which
are at Customers. So we want to use the RSS-Feed and XML AutoUpdate (we thought, this is a nice idea to keep the Screensaver up to date)
Do we need for both Plugins a permamently Internet Connection? We have also a Intranet in Our IT-Infrastructure

You need network connection to display RSS in your screensaver, obviously.

You do not need Internet connection to run screensavers with enabled auto updates, but if no connection is present, the screensaver will not update itself and will use either original content or content from the previous update if it was successful.
