Being retired from IT from the '60s to Y2K, I still try to keep my brain stimulated by learning what I can about the new technology. To that end, I've learned a bit about HTML, CSS, php, and other tools. I bought HTMLPad and have found it quite useful - perfect, in fact, for my uses. What I've learned has been from the web and through trial and error.
Here are my questions:
1) Is there a means of taking a screenshot of the preview screen? If not, I suggest that would be a very useful feature to add to the package. Yes, I know I can use other tools including CTL-Printscreen to take screenshots; but it requires invoking another app or process then returning to HTMLPad. The ability to click a tool icon and have the screenshot saved to a predetermined file folder would certainly improve my productivity. Plus, it would help me share results via email while pages are under development.
2) Is there a User Manual for HTMLPad that I haven't found? I've used Help local to the app and online help, but wondered if a user manual had been written that I might read.
TIA
Taking a screenshot of the preview screen? User manual?

- Check the Support section of the corresponding product first. Chances are you will find your answer there;
- Do not create new topics for already reported problems. Add your comments to the existing topics instead;
- Create separate topic for each problem request. Do NOT post a number of non-related problem reports in a single topic;
- Give your topic a meaningful title. Titles such as "A question," "Bug report" and "Help!" provide others no clue what your message is about;

Re: Questions (Probably Dumb Ones)
Hi RH
Me 2, a retired network engineer who is attempting to start a small business in web design. It is for the same reason as you to keep mentally stimulated.
I have a great utility called 'cropper' which I have used for several years and it is great which you can d/l from http://cropper.codeplex.com/. I have this utility always loaded on my task bar. You can either do one of three things
1. save screen capture to clipboard
2. save screen capture to a specified directory
3. direct printout of the screen capture
You do need to have .net install on your system.
If you wish feel free to contact me if you need help etc with html, html5, CSS, JavaScript etc. .
Drop me a note either here or from off my web site.
TIP: one of the better ways to learn how to code is to look at the source code when you visit web sites, make notes on what you wish to know more about, then googlize for the info OR even write the author of the web site. It is perhaps in the first place difficult to get into a routine BUT having done it several times it will become naturally to you.
Oh, yes. also get yourself a rooladex and/or notebook make note etc which you can always refer to IF needed.
