1) No major changes in interface, also could not reproduce, need more details
2-3) Will be addressed in the very next update
4) Will be addressed as time and resources permit in one of the next updates, maybe not the soonest one

Resizing the main app window is really slow here too (webuilder 11.0.0.125). It takes about 4-5 seconds to redraw all the ui after resizing/maximize/restore down the window, 2010 only takes a second. Even with no files open it is slow to redraw. Most programs redraw instantly when resizing main window, would be nice if this could be improved.

I'm sad to say I see a similar thing with WeBuilder 2011. Opening takes the usual amount of time I came to expect with 2010, yet if I half-minimise the window, it takes about four seconds all up to redraw the tool-bars, panels and other GUI elements. It is almost as if it is parsing an .ini file each time the scree changes size and repainting each element as it goes, which it does slowly.

It isn't my computer either. I'm using a quad-core Intel i7 960 based machine with 6 gigs of performance RAM, 2 x 10,000 RPM Velociraptor RAIDed hard drives and a Radeon HD5800 series graphics adapter running a performance-optimised version of Windows 7 Ultimate. Nothing takes time on this computer so that isn't the problem. I don't recall 2010 being as twitchy as this when resizing the workspace.

However, it isn't a show-stopper; I only mention it because someone else has brought it up and it may give a clue as to what is happening. Once the main window is sized, (and to be honest I don't resize it that often in normal use) there is nothing else going slow when doing tasks within the workspace.

For my needs and skill level WeBuilder is still the best editor on the market today. From memory, the last time I installed Dreamweaver to check it out, it was so darn slow doing anything at all I couldn't bear to use it. Making any software better usually means adding features and doing so walks a fine line between bloating the software into oblivion or keeping it lean and fast, yet boasting all the functionality hard-core coders demand in an editor. I think Karlis, Gatis and the rest of the team have done a great job of keeping things lightweight yet feature filled. The other quirks are just that, and I can certainly live with them.

Darn it,

I can't confirm the file explorer pane resolve/workaround as my WB2011 beta license key has expired.

Never mind, I'm sure this will be resolved once the devs figure out what the common thread between all the slow redraw machines is.

The quirks don't really matter for me as WB2010/11 is still the best HTML editor for my needs.

Just thought I'd say I see no difference in resizing from 2010 & 2011 (both installed) wither with or without file explorer.
Using Windows XP here.

Maybe it's OS specific, I'm on Windows 7 and the problem does seem to be worse with the file explorer window displayed, and with ftp tab it is actually faster as Mat-Moo says

After viewing the video in the other thread http://forums.blumentals.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5178 then I too have the same problem when the file explorer is set to list or tree view, no problem with combined view which is what I use.
Takes about two seconds to resize the window when in list or tree view.
