preview not working in Rapid PHP2005

Post by janetweber »

Hello
I am interested in purchasing rapid php 2005, but I can't get the preview to work. I keep getting a message saying the the server mappings are not configured correctly, or the the document is an xml document.

I am begining to think that the problem is with either my php congiuration or my apache configuration. I installed both products with the apache2triad installation program. My question is, do I need to configure these 2 program differnetly from want the installation program configured them for???

Thank you in advanced for your help,

Hello Janet,

After installation and you first run Rapid PHP it goes through a wizard that asks for the php location and the server mappings settings.

If you missed this, you can go and enter the details in:
Options >> Preferences
Then select:
Preview >> Mapings
to enter your server mappings &
PHP Options,
to set PHP up.

Also place a simple php file in your htdocs folder ( or whatever your default folder is in Apache ) and see if it runs OK by manually entering into your browser like:
http://localhost/mytest.php

If this fails then you problem is not with Rapid PHP but with either your PHP or Apache set up.
