Hi,
I have Webuilder on 2 machines,
I have exported settings but this doesn't export the button and toolbar setup I use.
How do you export those?
How to copy toolbar setup between different webuilders ?

Re: How to copy toolbar setup between different webuilders ?
tzveeka if they are the same version of Webuilder onto the same operating system version, what I do is install it and configure it how I like on the first machine, then copy the program files folder (in its entirety), the \%users%\%username%\appdata\roaming\blumentals file in its entirety (for Vista/Windows 7 - is using XP use the Documents and Settings\application data\etc. path to the Blumentals folder) and export the registry settings in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Karlis Blumentals (highlight the Karlis Blumentals key then right-click and choose Export from the menu).
The install WB on the second machine and with it closed, copy the files and folders to the same location as they were before (as long as the OS is the same - it gets tricky if they aren't)and merge the registry file and fire up WeBuilder - it should look exactly the same as it was on the first machine.
Hope this does what you want.

Re: How to copy toolbar setup between different webuilders ?
Ages ago I did do an export program in VB6 to do the above, but WeBuilder then got the import/export settings 'built in', so I figured it was rendered useless.
Guess its time to dust it down again...
Is it just the toolbar settings that don't get copied across?

Re: How to copy toolbar setup between different webuilders ?
If the versions of WB are different on each machine, then from what I understand the files that control layout and toolbars are not compatible from 2010 to 2011. If they are the same, I would imagine the settings would be fine as I have described it above. However, an export tool would be handy because the Export settings feature is still just instructions and requires manually copying files (and for a full export exporting registry keys) to make it work.

I haven't exported any registery keys,
maybe that will copy the toolbars ?

Hi,
In future we plan to improve this process even further so there are no misunderstandings possible.
Yes, the copying must be done manually. But if you follow carefully the instructions, there is no manual registry export required. The export will happen after you close WeBuilder and only then do the copying (after closing WeBuilder). Then the import will also happen automatically after launching WeBuilder on the other PC.However, an export tool would be handy because the Export settings feature is still just instructions and requires manually copying files (and for a full export exporting registry keys) to make it work.

This can come in handy.
