File Explorer: Activate Folder of Current File tweak

Post by clarkedesign »

Hi,

Sometimes when using File Explorer: Activate Folder of Current File - it doesn't always work.

If the file is referenced as a direct file; say C:\Mydirectory\myfile.html - then all works file

However we also reference files directly from our server; say \\SERVERNAME\Mydirectory\myfile.html

This does nothing, the File Explorer doesn't seem to understand this.
Does anyone else have this issue ?

Can someone from Blumentals let us know if this is a bug or something else please ?

1) Click Folder Options icon on the File Explorer tab. A File Explorer Setting dialog will appear.
2) Select Desktop as the Folder Tree Root.
3) Click OK to save settings and close the dialog.

Now, the "Activate Folder to Current File" feature should work with network shares.

Why, do you have the same problem? If so, you can just try Nikolaj's suggestion yourself.
