Evolve GUI & Syntax Highlighting (sublimetext)

Post by dragonetti »

By coincidence I got to look at the text editor: http://www.sublimetext.com/
The thing that struck me was:
- the syntax highlighting (very easy on the eyes!)
- minimalistic yet it has a lot of options (not as much as webuilder)

I know "sublimetext" is geared towards programmers but isn't it possible to evolve the gui and syntax highlighting of webuilder towards sublimetext and at the same time NOT lose the features and options of webuilder.

Is it also possible to have an option make webuilder "behave" more like a programmers editor (sublimetext / notepad++ / ...etc)?
With the support of "all" those languages? (if possible)

By the way, when I disable al the toolbars and want to customize the webuilder UI towards sublimetext I get an error...

What kind of error do you get? I just checked and got no error.

I tried sublime text and the bright-on-black made my eyes bleed :) So I guess the easiness on eyes is subjective.

I guess you are right about syntax thing.

I tried to send the error data through the send-report-pop-up that appears after when the error occurs.
But the message couldn't be send because of outlook that wasn't installed (setup).

What I do is the following:

Close every toolbar at the top of the webuilder interface, until there is one toolbar left open (the "taskbar")

Then I disable the "taskbar" toolbar

EDIT!!!!:
Then I try create a new HTML document, just to get the TAB opened

Then I get the error

Could you press Show Bug Report and make a screenshot of Stack Trace tab?
