Can I suggest that you have a opt in email newsletter so that owners can be emailed when you make a version update ie version 3 to version 3.06

or put the version number somewhere within the download area so you can quickly see if an update is able?

We are going to address this problem with auto-update some time soon. Posting version numbers next to download and announcing it complicates the release process too much, we need more automated solution.
