save as to remote server

Post by tcloud »

how does one do a "Save as" to a remote server? (... figured it out -- below)

When I choose Save as I get a local computer directory listing but can't find any indication of a remote connection.

I figured out that I can "Save to FTP" -- but it's not obvious from that form where the file is being saved. If it's saving to the currently open connection, it would be nice if that were shown somewhere on the form.

* It would be nice, if a remote connection is established, for the Save as dialog to automatically save there -- or at least give the connection as one of the destinations.

thanks,
Tom

Remote connection (if you mean Remote Desktop Connection) is not designed to accept files from applications on the client computer so that's why you need to use FTP to access remote files.

I don't think that would be an option. You have to change the script on Windows to make that possible. As suggested, you can possibly save it locally in your desktop and then just do an FTP or any other file transfer method.
When in doubt, use Brute Force Image

What script on Windows? What are you talking about?
