Saving big file = crash

Post by ttx »

Hi. I always had a problem saving big files in RapidPHP. Today i tried to edit and save 20MB sql file in WeBuilder 2014 beta1 - same result. WeBuilder hangs up (one core is going to 100% load) and after a while i have to manualy kill it from task manager.
SQL dumps are always this big and i have to edit those files in another app (PSPad - where this action only takes a second).

Tested on two computers (PC and notebook). Both Win7 64bit. One with 12GB ram, second with 4GB.

Thank you for looking into this.

Same here...

I just fiddled around and managed to improve the performance, now a 20 MB SQL file takes ~1 sec to save (takes a bit more to load). Please wait for Beta3, it should be out in a couple of days or a week or so.

I must say it is still not quick, but I must also note that the editor was never designed to handle this big files.

Just out of curiousity, what does event viewer log when this app crashes?
