I need it and I used it today many times with Notepad++, even Webuilder2015 is my default code editor.

I guess this functionality would be better suited for a plugin. I'll add it to wish list.

I agree with Aivars. That functionality is easy to make using a plugin.
If I got the time, I might give it a go.

If you are interested in beta testing it, then I made a plugin with similar functionality, but smarter :D
