Unique Registration - On-the-fly generator

I am looking to publish my screensaver on the Internet, using custom generated keys. However, it will be hassle to open the project and generate the key every time it is purchased. I was just wondering if there was a way to have this done with my scripting language, PHP. I do not mind using the seed of 0, as long as I can get the keys generated on the fly.

If anyone knows how to do this, or wouldn't mind helping out, I'd greatly appreciate it!
