  • Create separate topic for each problem request. Do NOT post a number of non-related problem reports in a single topic;
  • Give your topic a meaningful title. Titles such as "A question," "Bug report" and "Help!" provide others no clue what your message is about;

Help us implement Asp.Net, JSP, Java support

Post by Karlis »

I have received several requests for introducing at least basic support for following languages: Asp.Net, JSP, Java and a few others. We are preparing version 2006 and here is your chance.

If you are expert or at least good in any of these areas and you are seriously willing to help, please contact me at support[at]blumentals.net We will need some real-time/chat communication link. I can offer MSN Messenger and Skype.

When the development of these features starts, I will have questions and a lot of them :D and I will appreciate if there was somebody who can help, otherwise it won't be possible to implement this.

Rewards:
1) Implementation of the features you need.
2) Free access to version 2006 early releases and test versions.

Thanks!

Ruby sounds nice and my answer would be - as soon as time permits.

Right now I need to finalize 2006 and after that is done I see no reason why not give it a try.

Ruby would be fantastic, but keep in mind the name is RapidPHP. If you are going to support PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, Java, JSP, CFM (as I saw in other topics), Perl, and even Ruby, maybe you should consider updating the name? Something like "RapidBackend" or even just simply "Rapid" would allow you to sensibly add any languages you want without singularly specifying PHP in the name.

I would have thought that the new supported languages would be for the WeBuilder product which already supports HTML, ASP, PHP, PERL etc, rather than the PHP specific RapidPHP.

Hey there, will there be Java support in WeBuilder 2007? I'm really looking forward to it since it's coming up in my studies and Netbeans isn't the least sympathetic. :roll:
