HTMLPad and Unicode (content="text/html; charset=utf-8"), why not, support multilanguage content ?

Probably Unicode will become fully or at least partially supported in 2006. We are currently researching ways of implementing it. There are some good proposals already.

It could also be that Unicode becomes available in a completely new product.

We will see... :wink:

I just downloaded HTMLPad 6.3 and the first thing I saw when I opened a HTML file were some strange characters.
The rest of the program looks very good, but if I can't open/save UTF-8 files, its almost useless to me. :(

Please read above. Unicode will most likely be available in next version - 2006 which is due to very soon.

Version 2006 is 7.x

It seems that we have found a solution for unicode support. If everything goes well, Unicode will be available in version 2006 which is due to very soon.
