Saving Projects [Solved]

When I ammend or make a new gif animation it work OK, but when I try to save it or save it as I get the following message. Anyone know the reason why and how I cure it.

Error message
access violation at adress 004304cc in module 'gifan.exe' read address 0000002c. The number are different most times.

i also get a error message like this too, except mine says:

access violation at adress 004305F0 in module 'gifan.exe' read address 0000002c.

ok i figured out how to fix it.

go to the bottom right corner & click the "Image Comment.." button,
then clear all the text inside it & press OK.

this worked for me.

We shall investigate this and correct the problem. Please let me know what kind of text was there and how many frames did you have in your animation.

I am having the same problem except that my message said that the access violation was in address 004305F0 and the Read address was 1F1F4B. I did what you said with clearing the comment and I still got the message only the read address changed to 0000002D.

I have this problem and I have filled out the report at the link you specified.


This may not be as "Very Rare" as you think. :!:

The Solution

The problem is caused by an error in options. Until we correct the glitch, you may use the following solution that fixes the problem:

1. On the Tools menu, click Options
2. Select Export tab
3. Set Nearest Color for Dithering Mode.
