Re: Undefined characters

I seems to be a UTF-8 (bom) issue. So, when I saved the file as UTF-8, it fixed it.

Undefined characters

I think this has happened since the latest Webuilder update. In the screenshot below note the difference in the text between the code and Generate Preview File. http://www.lambifund.org/Capture-1.jpg I'm turning a PDF file into a webpage using a text copy/paste function from Serif Pageplus 4 to ...

Re: Can't FTP

Capricorn, The damnable thing is that I know all of that, and have Webuilder listed as an exception. But something is stopping the FTP (and with Filezilla also, which is also listed as an exception). I'm at a loss about what to do. But when I disable the firewall, I can FTP. I notice that Microsoft ...

Re: Can't FTP

I have discovered that it is the firewall. When I turn it off, it works. But both Webuilder and Filezilla are selected as exceptions -- and I did nothing to change this! So, how do I fix it. Currently, I have to turn off the firewall to FTP.

Re: Can't FTP

Gunter, thanks for trying, but the link is in German, and the translation is over my head.

Can't FTP

Weird. Suddenly I can't FTP with Webuilder or Filezilla. I made no changes that I'm aware of. Webuilder gives me this error:

FTP Error: Socket Error #10054 Connection Reset by Peer.

How do I fix this?

Re: File Lock Continues

Wow. That fixed it. I suppose that means that I can't run Firebug.

Re: File Lock Continues

I was using Firebug 1.4.5, and the problem occurred. So, I disabled Firebug, and it persists. Unlocker 1.8.8 shows that Firefox has locked the file.

File Lock Continues

This is the only program or editor that I have this problem with. I use Unlocker, but it is a hassle -- and now Unlocker won't fix the problem. I'm XP Windows, Firefox 3.5. When I Tools / Preview In / Mozilla Firefox and the window opens, it locks it so that I cannot save until close Firefox ...

Re: saving files after upload with firefox failed [resolved?]

Which is why I asked if there is a Windows setting that controls this. Maybe a Windows upgrade added or changed a setting. I also use xplorer2 ( http://www.zabkat.com ). I'll check to see if that has locked files. Doing a Google search on "file cannot be saved with specified name" (the actual error ...
