Thanks for the advice, Dave. My previous experience with support on this product has been very good. So I will follow up as you suggest.

Re: Can't associate the HTML file extension with WeBuilder 11
From my point of view this is a significant bug. What do I need to do to escalate it to get some attention?

Re: Can't associate the HTML file extension with WeBuilder 11
I have also just upgraded from Webuilder 2008 to 2011 and I am experiencing almost exactly the same problem. The only difference is that I cannot get any file associations to work either from within Webuilder Options > Preferences > Files > Associations or from within Windows Explorer (XP). I can ...

Re: Root Folder
Ah ha! I have found the solution. Not super neat but quite OK. In the Browse FTP window double click on the root directory to go up one directory then highlight the html (in my case) directory containing my site files. This puts "html" in the directory form and actives the OK button. Clicking OK ...

Re: Root Folder
I have the same problem. (WB 9.0.0.96) In Manage Projects > Project properties > Browse FTP I select and connect to my site and click on the root directory but the OK button stays grayed out. If I select a sub-folder the sub-folder name appears in the directory field and the OK button becomes ...

XHTML markup
Karlis, I first raised this issue in February under another item but it seems to have gone dead. Working in php with DOCTYPE set to XHTML the markup pane keeps reverting to HTML 4.01 regardless of my options settings. Entry of tags from keyboard shortcut, context menu or markup pane are html 4.01 ...

Hex viewer and character map
I would find a hex viewer and character map extremely useful. For example, a classic 16 character parallel display of hex and text with individual character highlighting. A separate tool or dockable toolbar option showing the full range of characters with the hex value indicated with mouseover.

I usually have several pages open at once. Say I am editing doc1.php. Once I have set the doc type to xhtml 1.0 strict in the markup pane it stays there until I view another document (htm, php, open, new or whatever) then when I go back to doc1.php the markup pane has switched back to html 4.01. In ...

HTML Language Specification
Karlis I have finally twigged that the HTML language spec in WeBuilder switches reliably with the DOCTYPE when my file extension is htm or html. My problem is that I work in php extensively and WeBuilder defaults to HTML 4.01 and keeps switching back to it no matter what I do. Is this fixable or ...

WeBuilder Problem Report
A problem I have encountered:
Edit > Change Character Case > Capitalize
When converting from uppercase to initial capitals with hyphenated words hyphenates the last letter in the word preceeding the hyphen.
Eg, SMITH-JONES converts to SmitH-Jones

Graham
