special chars

to add a request that i've run into: it would be great if there was a feature to that scanned the document (like the spell check) only it converted all the special characters like trade marks, copyrights, etc to their respective special character or entity (user specified). it would parse the ...

comments and syntax highlighting

seriously, this is killing me. when i comment out a line in php and the ending '?>' is on the same line as the comment it's also commented out and the syntax highlighting goes crazy. when i comment out html and php using the html comments "<blah>" the highlighting stops the comment at any ...

well, as of now you can copy and paste into a snippet - but if i hear what you're saying, you'd like a context menu (right click) item that allows you to enter the selected code directly into a 'new snippet' dialog. maybe it would say "add selection to library" or "create snippet from selected text"?

selected text block character count

add a vote for me

maybe offer both styles of code completion in the "preferences" so each user get's to choose which they prefer.

but i like the proposed one here. typing " </ " closes the current tag.

yeah that sorta works... i've actually changed my mind though i think a better implementation on this is to have a button, all it's own that simply escapes the highlighted text. right now the 'convert' button/feature uses the echo/print statement. i think we need a button that simply escapes the ...

It's not very difficult to write something positive about rapidPHP. As a web developer who spends 50% of his time re-writing and cleaning up old poorly written HTML and adding CSS and the other 50% of his time neck deep in osCommerce, I went on a two week hunt to download every PHP/HTML/CSS tool I ...

the only reason i "bump" this request is because i seriously go to use it 4 times a day. this request is by no means a make-or-break for me, but if there is one feature that i do truly wish for, this would be it. to clarify - the feature i'm "begging" for is a right-click/context option for "close ...

another random bug in 2007 RC

when you use the search and then use F3 to go to the next result everything works fine. keep pressing F3, when you reach the last occurrence the little message pops up "unable to find search string" so far so good. when you click "ok" to acknowledge the "unable to find search string" an error pops ...

ok first. the fact that he responded and is trying to help you should say volumes for his commitment to the quality of this software. second i think you should watch your tone. if you're looking for a step up from homesite (i dare say that notepad might be a step up), talk to the dev and see if it's ...

You listed that you'd like large usability flaws / annoyances...this is one that i've noticed from 7.4 when commenting out a line in php, if the ending ?> is on the same line, it is commented out as well and thus the entire syntax highlighting is screwed up. just something that i've noticed. from ...

no, they'd be more like 'sub-projects' so i could open a file list from the panel...i think what i'm looking for is a bit more file list management. it all stem from the fact that i have a group of 5 files dealing with the file uploads. and another group of 5 files that deal with the front page ...
